Sales Operations and Marketing Analyst (3125) DescriptionI. POSITION PURPOSEBusiness Analyst to support the WW Sales, Marketing and Service teams. Responsible for developing business intelligence reporting to assist the teams in driving critical business actions and facilitating sales growth. Establish reporting and metrics in alignment with the corporate strategy and fiscal objectives. The business analyst will own all POS reporting and administrative activities including data structures, users, data integrity and user training. The position provides cross-functional support to Sales, Marketing and Finance, assisting them with the analysis, development, and administration of existing and new sales programs and initiatives.II. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Develops management reports for review and tracking of sales wins, inventory activity, and strategic business development opportunities.2. Coordinates with cross-functional departments to address business or systems issues related to sales programs and sales information systems.3. Works closely with Solutions Marketing on the design, implementation and tracking of promotions, evaluating the net contribution and reporting on the success of the program to Executive Management.4. Work with Accounting and Finance teams to establish best practices for ROI analysis of sales programs and ensure adherence to QLogic's revenue recognition guidelines.5. Identifies and recommends improvements for the areas and programs supported, including system enhancements, reporting changes, process changes, and procedural updates.6. Provides ongoing business systems support, administration and training for various Sales tools. Develops job aides and training documentation, as needed, to support Sales users.7. Performs testing on system changes to validate proposed system enhancements. Identifies testing issues and coordinates with IT on resolution.8. Liaisons with Sales representatives, program managers, IT, management, cross-functional departments, and customers to provide support and achieve department goals & objectives.The successful candidate will be highly customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and perform to high standards of productivity and accuracy. Must be a team player and have the ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the corporation. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and display the ability and the willingness to meet business critical deadlines.Required SkillsBachelor's degree in a business-related discipline or a computer science-related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Key skills required for the position include: multi-tasking, solving technical and business problems, working effectively as a team member in a cross-functional team, writing clear documentation, working productively using information systems, remaining flexible to changing priorities, and communicating well both internally and externally. Skills and experience in using Microsoft office applications is required, and experience with Oracle applications is strongly preferred.
