The Sales Analyst will work in conjunction with the Commercial Operations team to grow Commercial sales and support associated customer accounts. Candidate will do everything from creating and managing critical data to participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to IT system releases. The position is cross-functional in nature and requires close coordination with other key DIRECTV departments, including: IT, Call Centers, Dealer Compensation, Supplier Payments. Responsibilities:· Create and format Commercial Business reports using Excel and Access applications; utilize pivot tables, complex formulas and macro functionality· Coordinate with IT to enhance Commercial programming by creating and submitting change requests to affect channel line-ups · Identify actual and potential problems; provide alternative solutions· Work with Legal, Business and 3rd party vendors to implement the creation of services for various programming packages, including special events, such as boxing events, pay per view events, etc.· Process requests from the sales and management teams for mailing lists, customer reports and updates to customer account information· Create invoice requests in order to collect payment from outside entities for Commercial boxing events, etc.· Process requests from regional sales managers for changes to 3rd party vendor (i.e. dealer) information on customer accounts and coordinate with the Commercial call center to ensure that their records are updated correctly· Participate in system testing for the Commercial ordering systems· Review Commercial sales reports on a weekly basis and communicate necessary actions on customer accounts to the Commercial call center Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required 3-5 years experience in sales operations or related environment Prior Customer Service experience a plus Experience in Microsoft Office applications with expertise in Excel and Access· Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including a qualitative and quantitative skill set · Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and suggest appropriate solutions· Capacity to multi-task and effectively communicate (in written and verbal form)Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly-changing environment · Ability to establish strong working relationships within cross-functional team and utilize resources to complete daily tasks· Occasional travel; once per month
