Prometric is seeking a highly motivated, confident, self-starting individual to be a Senior C++ Developer for Prometric’s flagship product.
This position requires an innovative seasoned IT professional to design and develop major enhancements to existing products, as well as produce new products and tools using today’s latest Windows platforms and technologies.
This position is part of an integral team providing opportunity for personal and professional growth through collaboration and knowledge sharing with other senior team members, architects and product teams. The successful candidate must be technically proficient in all phases of the development life cycle yet savvy enough to interface with non-technical stakeholders to achieve results and meet common project goals. The candidate must be one that thrives in a fast paced dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze and design solutions to meet product deliverables of various complexity Develop work products in accordance with Prometric’s Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and best practices Solve complex, analytical problems with minimal supervision Create required project documentation such as task schedule, functional specifications, detailed design, unit test plans, unit test cases, and end user documentation Participate and present in formal code, design, and test plan reviews Maintain current with the use of industry tools, technologies, and best practices and how they can be leveraged to achieve product/project goals
Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in software design and development in a Windows PC environment using Win32 API Proficient at developing applications using C++, Visual Studio development environment, and managed and unmanaged code. Experience developing with COM/ATL Object oriented design skills using UML or other industry standard modeling tools or languages Adept at use and concepts of full Software Development Life Cycle methodology Analytic ability to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions (thinking outside the box)
Education:Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, information systems, or related field is preferred. Equivalent professional work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
