Participates in the development and implementation of application systems. Provides rapid response to user communities’ request for assistance.Develops technical solutions to well defined business problems. Works closely with IT lead to understand the business and technical requirements and with other developers to design technical solutions using a variety of tools (see skills needed). Self teaches new emerging technologies without waiting for formal training. Has a good understanding of relational databases. Have solid understanding data warehouse methodologies and have a working knowledge of middle tier technologies.Responsibilities:Designs and develops appropriate processes for distributing business data across the organization. Follows existing or establishes new architecture principles for data distribution.Addresses and/or reduces data quality issues that impact business service levels and/or impact revenue. Plans the full range of programming actions needed to achieve desired end-results on complex problems under the direction of the team leader.Maintains and modifies existing applications programs.Write new modules/services of moderate complexity and scope, working with applications systems designs and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.Analyzes source and target data flows and data transformation patterns.Codes modules/services requiring a variety and moderate number of internal processing actions.Learns user functions, organization and role in the enterprise to the extent required.Participates in certain aspects of user consulting, systems analysis and general systems design.Maintains the integrity of the processing environment and insures continuity with the current processing applications.Builds relationships with business and other IT members to increase awareness of business issues, IT direction and strategy. Adheres to all required policies and procedures for developing and maintaining software.Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all enterprise departments to optimize working relationships and communication.Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation or education.Qualifications:High school diploma is required.BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration or related field is preferred.5-7 years experience in programming required, with focus on data distribution and data warehousing.Demonstrates the ability to do programming debugging and data analysis.Good written and oral communication skills.Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.Ability to express basic technical concepts effectively, verbally and in writing.Ability to be on call in a 24/7environmentPlease see job description.
