Salary Commensurate with Experience Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Relevant Work Experience: 7+ to 10 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: DL105754M Senior Exhaust Engineer Keys: BSME and minimum of seven years job experience • Familiar with automotive and motorcycle exhaust systems • Hands on Engineer with mechanical abilities • Machining, welding, and fabricating skills desirable • Ability to speak Spanish a plus • Acoustics and Catalyst experience a plus Key activities and responsibilities follow: • Conceptualizes the product design configuration for cost effective manufacturing • Establishes the design specification for the new product to be launched into production including the functional, structural and environmental performance requirement and life expectancy • Project planning and execution based on project scopes developed by the task team for all levels of project complexity • Specifies materials and alternatives or design configurations, which will secure economic production • Prepares and manages product development schedules and costs • Working with Manufacturing & Process Engineering, interfaces with suppliers to devise the most economical production method. • Test prototypes and completes product qualification testing. Make the necessary design changes as required to ensure product integrity & reliability • Prepares and furnishes manufacturing with all test procedures or calibration requirements • Knowledgeable of industry standards, trends, and requirements, and possess the ability to execute programs to meet these requirements.
