Salary- Up to range $45-55K per year for the right talent.
Start- ASAP (if you are in a full time position you will be able to give a 2 week notice)

OVERALL PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer/Production Artist produces marketing and sales collateral, environmental graphics, packaging, ads, and other deliverables. Scope of responsibility may range from incremental assignments to full cycle projects. May work independently or as part of a team to establish design parameters including visual themes, layout, photography, typography, etc. Works with team members, internal departments and external vendors to develop/deliver marketing communications materials in accordance with established creative standards, budgets and deadlines.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create print layouts that are functional, audience-appropriate and aesthetically pleasing. Work with external printing vendors, adhere to file format specifications, attend press checks as needed. Develop and research brand name and trademark concepting for use in developing private brand assortments. Create packaging and product labels for a range of products across multiple categories including fishing, hunting, camping, fitness, marine, and sports licensing. Research packaging options for individual products and/or entire product classes. Design and produce product cosmetics for an array of outdoor sporting goods products and accessories. Direct or manage internal and external photo shoots; retouch/color-correct photos and photo-compose items, as needed. Gather requested imagery from a variety of sources including internal databases and vendor catalogs; scan, save, and send images as required in accordance with department standards. Create artwork for PowerPoint presentations including photography, photo composing and retouching product samples. Collect imagery/logos from client databases and covert to PC format. Create and print binder covers for internal, customer and industry presentations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: 3+ years related design experience in an agency or in-house creative department; solid, audience-focused print/package design capabilities; CPG experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications or equivalent. Familiarity with both PC and Macintosh systems. Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient with graphics file formats and their applications; full understanding of printing processes, including four-color. Ability to generate new ideas/approaches/solutions, as well as work within established parameters, as needed. Ability to incorporate creativity, use sound judgment, organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Ability to understand/follow creative direction and incorporate constructive feedback. A team player who can work independently and excels in developing strong internal and external working relationships.
