Senior Procurement Specialist w/Contract Negotiation & RFP Experience

Job Description:Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist for a major client in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you must have Procurement experience that involves contract negotiation and RFP development along with purchasing solicitation development, issuance and solicitation awards, purrchasing forecasting and Vendor Management. You must be able to interpret, apply and explain complex laws, codes, regulations and ordinances. C.P.M. Certification is preferred, but not required. Job Experience:Required Experience/Skills:- Bachelors Degree or equivalent.- 5+ years experience in contract negotiation and RFP development.- 5+ years procurement experience.- Minimum of 3 years experience in Purchasing Solicitation development, issuance and solicitation awards and Purchasing Forecasting.- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access with demonstrated ability working with database, working in a confidential environment, multi-task and problem solves, fast paced and deadline driven environment.- Skilled with Vendor Management.- Ability to interpret, apply and explain complex laws, codes, regulations and ordinances.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Preferred Experience/Skills:- C.P.M.
