Senior Product Manager
Leads Vaccines for Children (VFC) and state-based public health marketing. Support public health sales force with tactics and messaging and supports pediatric sales force to pull-through doses within physician offices. Provide expertise and strategy in long term planning for public health sales, including defining and implementing strategies and programs that establish Medimmune as a leader in school-based vaccination. Develop short and long range strategies for product/market expansion, KOL development, and publication planning. Primary FluMist marketing team member responsible for planning and development of consultant and advisory meetings. Understand and interpret how public policy affects FluMist commercial opportunity. Manage conventions. Identify need for market research and contribute to planning and development of research. Experience working with interdepartmental partners such as Sales Force, Public Health Sales, Medical/Scientific Affairs, Government Affairs, Public Relations, Legal, Regulatory and Sales TrainingSpecific Duties1. Assist in the creation and implementation of KOL and consultant programs2. Create, Manage to completion marketing tools and programs for Public Health Account Managers and pediatric sales team pull through3. Budget management for project works4. Plan, manage to completion marketing projects/programs 5. Participate in defining marketing strategy for customer areas and specific products6. Attend scientific symposia and note important advances7. Work with outside consultants in various areas (i.e. advertising agency, market research, medical education, meetings and conventions etc.)Education and Special SkillsA. Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experienceB. Requires a four-year college degree and high level of verbal, written and quantitative skills, MBA preferred.C. In this position, product managers are expected to make broad day-to-day decisions and must, therefore, be able to make decisions that reflect and support the overall strategies of the business unit and Company. Quality decisions, which may be made in the presence of customers, need to be based on appropriate training and personal judgment. Travel RequirementsTravel is required for this position, 30-40%.
