Senior Programmer Analyst/Microstrategy Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking a senior Business Intelligence professional with extensive MicroStrategy Report Developer and Architect experience to join our Data Warehouse team. You will be an integral part of the report development team, responsible for performing requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of production reports.

Our environment includes MicroStrategy 8.1.1, Teradata, Oracle Apex and Ascential Datastage.

Job Responsibilities: Microstrategy Architecture: Design, build, and maintain logical model for MicroStrategy reporting applicationDesign, build, and maintain all MicroStrategy schema objects (attributes, facts, hierarchies) Perform code reviews and unit testing Working closely with ETL developers and DBAs to design and implement shared architecture Maintaining standardized MicroStrategy design, development, testing, and deployment task documentation Report Requirements Definition and Development Partner with business partners and internal business analysts for data requirements gathering and design Provide level of effort estimates for new project work, enhancements and fixes Write technical design documentation Assess Business Requirement documents and translate them into technical designs Production Support: Support user, system, performance, and regression testing efforts Troubleshooting MicroStrategy application issues internally and with vendor. Estimating and measuring system impact (CPU, memory, disk, network) of designs, before and after deployment Optimization and tuning of new and existing reports The ideal candidate will have: Extensive recent MicroStrategy architect and development experience (preferably version 8), including hands on experience with Architect, Desktop, Intelligence Server, Narrowcast Server, Report Services, and Web components.

Job Requirements: Expertise in SQL, with a focus on performance tuning. Good working knowledge of and experience with logical and physical database design principles and procedures. Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals, experience with large databases/data warehouses in a team environment. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with customers, management, and technical staff. Experience working in a structured, multi-person development environment. Familiarity with Teradata, SQLServer, Ascential Datastage. BS/MS in a technical discipline
