Burlington Coat Factory is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  DESCRIPTION:  The Burlington Coat Factory Online Transaction Processing Development Group is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst. Use your creativity and experience to become a valued member of the Burlington Coat Factory development team. This position reports to the Manager of Online Transaction Processing Application Development group.RESPONSIBILITIES: Assessing and understanding client needs, identifying requirements, designing programs and writing technical specifications to satisfy the needs of internal customers. Utilizing expert coding skills on Linux to produce software programs that meet department standards and customer requirements. Mentoring and guiding the technical development of junior and mid-level programmer analysts. QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must have very proficient coding skills and a minimum 5+ years experience in Perl, C, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Oracle 9i/10g, Sql*Plus and PL/Sql. Technical experience with ProC, XML, and Java, are a plus. Candidates for this position will have system level design skills, and strong problem solving skills.
