Based in Dallas, ACS is a FORTUNE 500 company of 62,000 people supporting client operations reaching more than 100 countries.It would be hard for you to go through a day without encountering the products or services of our many clients in communications, education, energy, financial services, government, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, travel, and transportation.May perform one or more of the following:This position will report to the Manager of Voice Engineering and will be responsible for a variety of activities and support efforts within the Telecommunication Department.The primary role will be to provide voice Telecom design and support for an ACS customer (ACD design; voicemail strategy and support; campus telephony requirements; etc.). In addition, the candidate will work on service request for pagers; manage the inventory and support of cellular and Black berry devices; and maintain accurate tracking records of equipment and user profiles. The candidate will interface with appropriate customer and ACS leaders to gather requirements and provide solutions to meet emerging business needs.The candidate will be responsible for resolving incident records as they relate to Nortel and Octel systems and for providing maximum availability of those systems. Project involvement will include working with vendors for implementation of voice circuits (T1, business lines, toll free, etc); assist with obtaining replacement hardware for remote offices; etc.Other functions include:Conducting research studies, performing cost analysis, identifying design approaches to meet client’s requirements.Perform analysis of carrier services and provide recommendations which can improve service and/or reduce costs.Updating Telecom documentation.Managing integration projects including equipment ordering, vendor negotiations, testing, troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of upgrades. Reporting on project status, capacity planning, and metrics, as well as generating any other reports requested by the client and management. Attend meetings as required and interact regularly with management and clients to constantly improve services. Processing of incoming switchboard calls as needed, in a backup capacity.Maintaining user profiles within the call accounting system. Education:College degree from accredited university (Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science preferred).
