Job Description:PLANIT Technology Group (formerly known as Dataline Consulting Services) is currently looking for a SharePoint Migration Engineer for a contract position here in Richmond, Virginia. Position will be assisting in the effort of migrating agencies legacy systems to Enterprise Infrastructure which includes SharePoint to SharePoint migrations, Public folder to SharePoint Migrations. Set up of any Active Directory groups and configure security within SharePoint Establish a SharePoint site collection, implement the navigation scheme, and create document repository/repositories based on the logical taxonomy Develop Master Pages and page layouts needed for the site’s look and feel and branding. Configure the basic document approval workflow process Complete configuration of SharePoint’s search function Conduct knowledge transfer sessions The ideal candidate must have worked as a lead SharePoint 2003. As a Senior Architect our expectation would be that the ideal candidate can provide mentorship and leadership to junior resources. This includes hands on delivery knowledge with the SharePoint object model, migration strategies from Public Folder to SPS 2003 and SPS 2003 to SPS 2003 . 5+ years of intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of enterprise complex SharePoint applications -Strong Microsoft focused background working with MOSS 2007, SPS 2003 and custom webpart development -Strong knowledge of other technologies such as XML/XSL/XSD, Web Services, and InfoPath Development -Strong knowledge of deploying SharePoint at the enterprise level in a distributed global environment Required Elements: * Past experience with SharePoint applications using both SharePoint Portal Server and WSS (Windows SharePoint Services) * Solid understanding and production experience with SharePoint and .NET Development with a strong technology focus on business productivity applications using Microsoft Office 2003 and related technologies. * Experience in the implementation of SharePoint Collaboration tools (forums/issues lists. etc.) and ability to seamlessly integrate with other Microsoft tools. * Implementation and integration of SharePoint Reporting Functions, Implementation and Integration of SharePoint Integrated Documentation Management functions with the ability to take SharePoint beyond "out of the box" to provide enhanced executive dashboards, data exploration and operating reports. * Strong architectural and design skills and the ability to formulate a solution from client requirements * Actual hands on experience developing custom Web Parts and integrating enterprise content with SharePoint to including content indexing, personalization, restricting access to content Location: VA Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm PLANIT Technology Group, headquartered in Norfolk, VA is a premier provider of information technology services, infrastructure and business solutions to a broad range of commercial clients within the United States.
