Position Description:

Scholastic Book Fairs works with schools across the country to host more than 120,000 annual reading events, connecting more than 55 million children with great books each year. Book Fairs foster enthusiasm for reading, while helping to build school and classroom libraries by providing students, teachers and parents access to thousands of books and educational products at affordable prices. We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to:Process incoming and outgoing shipments for the branch.Provide accurate paperwork on products and quantities received that need to be placed into the locator system.Maintain control and location of bulk stock movement.Movement of stock between bulk and line locations.Provide accurate shipping and receiving information to the Branch Generalist in a timely manner.Assist in daily disbursement of product.Assist drivers in the loading of trucks.Perform other duties as requested by Warehouse Supervisor. Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs., push pull up to 300 lbs., climbs ladders without assistance.Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time on concrete floors.Available to work overtimes and weekends as needed.Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.Able to use shrink wrap equipment.Ability to get along with co-workers.Ability to work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year.Good verbal/written communication skills.Basic math skills.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong team player.Operate the pallet jack.Operate forklift.
