Site Manager Position - East St. Louis, IL ($38.000/year)
Function Summary: Primarily responsible for the overall management and performance of a 24/7/365 IdleAire facility including staffing, training, performance management, inventory control, business growth, profitability, public relations, customer satisfaction, host management relations, etc. Provide on-site selling, support, and service to customers for the purpose of growing the IdleAire business.
Essential Functions: Responsible for the overall management and performance of one or more IdleAire facilities. Set specific, measurable goals and objectives for all team members providing appropriate feedback, coaching and motivation. Develop detailed action plans along with objectives, accountabilities, time-lines, and standards, reviewing and adapting as needed. Communicate information to team members on all shifts in a timely manner, ensuring they are well trained on IdleAire products and services. Maintain a cooperative, team oriented manner with all IdleAire Team Members. Recruit, hire, and maintain a qualified staff of trained Site Representatives and Shift Leaders. Resolve conflict promptly, both internally and externally, maintaining composure and professionalism at all times. Take ownership and accept responsibility for the decisions and actions of the team. Devise, implement, and maintain a proactive parking lot management strategy. Follow procedures established by IdleAire, ensuring the highest quality output, taking appropriate action to correct quality problems in a timely manner. Practice and enforce safety management in compliance with IdleAire and OSHA regulations. Manage site assets and expenses, including but not limited to cash handling, deposits, reconciliations, and inventory working within established guidelines and budgets. Maintain a positive working relationship with all Travel Center personnel by keeping host management team and associates informed about IdleAire products and services. Provide superior customer service to IdleAire customers, collecting feedback and taking action as appropriate to meet and exceed expectations. Promote the sale of IdleAire products and services customers. Continually grow IdleAire business. Report all site issues to the home office call center, District Manager, or HR as appropriate in a timely fashion. Other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.
Secondary Functions: Provide the District Manager with daily performance reports regarding all site related issues. Assist with other duties as assigned by the District Manager. Assist with system troubleshooting and repair as needed.
Working Conditions: Position requires lifting 30lbs overhead, and walking, standing or conducting business on the truck stop parking lot in all types of weather. Position requires working on call 24/7 and on-site 45-50 hours per week including a varied schedule of at least two evenings per week, nights, weekends and unscheduled visits as necessary. Position requires working in a noisy environment with varying degrees of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Qualifications:

Possess broad and/or varied business knowledge/skills; e.g. marketing, accounting, management, etc.
Experience: Required - 2 years management experience including:
· Leading, managing, and motivating employees
· Performance management
· Hiring, developing, and training employees
· Managing income and controllable expenses
ORRequired - minimum time with IdleAire – 3-6 months, preferably performing shift lead or maintenance duties, PLUS 1 year previous management experience.
ORRequired - minimum time with IdleAire – 1 year, preferably performing shift lead or maintenance duties, consistently demonstrating the ability to lead, manage, and motivate team members and successfully operate an IdleAire facility.
ORA combination of equivalent education and experience.
