Software Operations Support Developer

Georgetown Rail Equipment Company provides tools for railroads. Our innovative track inspection system, Aurora, our products stand out among the rest as technologically advanced, safer, more efficient, and more productive.

 

We are currently searching for a Software Developer – Operations Support. This advanced programmer will design and maintain software for an advanced image recognition application.



Will develop, maintain and incorporate new features in production software.

Create and maintain appropriate documentation and design artifacts.

Interface with customers on a regular basis.

Write weekly progress reports.

Exhibit ethical behavior at all times.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with strong math skills required, Master’s preferred.

Extreme proficiency with C++.

C# and managed .NET a plus.

Advanced Object Oriented Analysis and Debugging Skills.

A working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Experience working with iterative development methodologies including Test Driven Development.

Experience working in a development team environment.

Excellent Written and Verbal English Communication Skills.

Familiarity with a source control system and bug tracker.

Image vision or signal processing experience a plus.

Experience with data acquisitions systems and large scale data processing systems a plus.

Experience with project management.

Must have excellent customer service skills.

 

Must be able to travel extensively (some outside of the USA )
