POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for supporting operational procurement to ensure supply, reduce costs, and improve the performance, quality and service level of suppliers providing materials to operating company plants and comanufacturers. Primary duties include SAP contract creation and maintenance, PPV analysis and research, supplier performance and other purchasing-related report creation, resolution of PO and invoice discrepancies, and sourcing of business-specific materials. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, work well under pressure with minimum supervision, be able to analyze, make recommendations and solve problems, and be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MRP-based systems. SAP and Access experience is a plus.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Ensure and facilitate material supply to Nestle plants and comanufacturing facilities; coordinate communications, pricing and production requirements between plants and suppliers.* Create and maintain SAP supplier contracts requiring accurate item and pricing data entry.* Source business-specific materials as required.* Initiate RFQs, evaluate supplier bids, negotiate pricing for materials and services, and prepare various financial reports and presentations.* Execute supplier performance reporting process.* Support strategic cost savings and sourcing initiatives via pricing data collection, compilation and analysis.* Support comanufacturing strategic team via validating supplier pricing on BOMs.* Research and resolve PPV discrepancies.* Work collaboratively with Operational and Strategic Buyers to address and resolve supplier issues as they arise.* Assist corporate and plant Operational Buyers to expedite critical materials.* Research and resolve PO and invoice discrepancies.* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers, suppliers, peers and management.* Identify opportunities for improvement; work with internal NBS peers and management to implement best practice methodologies to improve operational processes and procedures. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. * CPIM or CPM certification is a plus. EXPERIENCE:* 3+ years purchasing, supply chain, demand planning and/or technical/manufacturing experience. Materials Management experience preferred. *Demonstrated materials management/operational buying capability. Candidate must be a demonstrated quick study, proven ability to manage change, ability to work across boundaries and borders, strong decision making. Excellent communicator and demonstrated skills in collaboration. Strong negotiation and pricing skills for materials and services.SKILLS:* SAP knowledge is preferred.* MUST be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and email systems. * Access experience is a plus.* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.* Ability to analyze and solve problems. * Proficiency and experience with computerized MRP, MRPII or ERP systems is preferred.* Understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management and production control is helpful. * Critical Competencies and Functional Knowledge:a.
