•Location:    US-TX-Dallas •Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    Administrative/Clerical •Career Level::    Experienced (Non-Manager) Specialized Industries Administrative Assistant II Job Description:JOB FUNCTION:Assist loan officer in management of loan and deposit portfolios. Along these lines, assist account officers in servicing the needs of bank relationships in a full range of support functions.Act as a liaison between customer and all support areas in the Bank.Help to ensure that all problems have been resolved, all inquiries have been answered, and that the customer’s needs have been satisfied. Keep the account officer informed of the status of the account relationship at all times.Assists the officer in tracking loan payments and past dues.Also responsible for helping to tract and obtain customer/guarantor financial statements and other loan related items.Employees at this level are expected to operate with minimal supervision, have a full range of product knowledge, good business development attitude, and the ability to handle sensitive situations.REGULAR DUTIES:· Receives telephone calls and mail from customers to report problems or to request assistance with specific matters.· Communicates with customer, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner to resolve any situation.· Acts as a liaison between all operational areas of the bank and the customer.· Acts as primary contact for customer when account officer is traveling or on vacation.Handles whatever inquiries are received to ensure that the customer’s needs are being fulfilled.· Reviews and distributes daily overdraft and uncollected funds reports.Obtains proper approvals and notifies customer of overdraft.Documents worksheet as to resolution of overdraft.· Receives wire transfer requests from customers to make transfers, verifies authenticity of transfer, assures funds are available for transfer, places hold on funds, prepares transfer forms for proper approval, and ensure that Funds Management makes the transfer on atimely basis.· Acts as a liaison between Funds Management and account officer for the approval of daylight overdrafts.Determines if funds are available within Bank to cover overdraft and places hold on funds.If funds not within the Bank, contacts customer to determine when and how funds will be received.Obtains proper approvals to release wire transfer.· Receives direct requests from customers to advance funds under existing pre-approved commitments.Verifies availability of credit.Prepares request for funding, gets proper approvals.· Tracks the timely receipt of financial statements.· Tracks account officer exceptions and assists with resolution of exceptions.· Tracks loan payments and past dues, making initial contact with customer to determine status of payment.Keeps officer informed and involved.· Ensures timely billing of deficit balance, commitment, letter of credit, and any other fees to be received.· Reviews the account analysis monthly to ensure accuracy of the statements.· Assist other AA’s of lesser experience within the Division when necessary with problem solving, recommendations and decisions on any of the above.· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Job Experience:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:· High school diploma or GED· 6 months experience working in an office environment· 2 years experience as a Lending Assistant OR a Personal Banker REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:· Thorough understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.· Understanding of PC/CRT applications.· Complete understanding of bank operations.· Understanding of loan processing functions.· Lending area background. REQUIRED SKILLS:· Good organizational skills.· Ability to effectively manage time.· Independent and self motivated.· Detail Oriented.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent interpersonal skills.· Excellent customer service skills.· Good analytical skills.· Desire for customer contact and business development.· Ability to coordinate and follow up on assigned tasks and work with others.· Must be resourceful to ensure that customer problems/requests are resolved on a timely basis.· High level of dependability and trustworthiness. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:· Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.· Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.· Ability to read and interpret a document.· Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.No agencies please.
