Sr. Corporate Recruiter

The incumbent recruits, screens, interviews, and recommends placement of prospective employees for exempt and non-exempt positions within the company. The position requires ingenuity and creativity in formulating search strategies to meet specialized staffing requirements. The individual may work with little direction and may provide guidance and direction to lower-level staff. There is frequent interaction with all levels of management, including senior management. Task assignments involve primarily non-repetitive duties and require the incumbent to exercise discretion and independent judgment in interpreting and applying company policies to complex problems. Long hours may be needed. Some travel may be necessary to meet staffing needs. Consults with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and creates appropriate recruiting strategies to fill positions in a timely and cost effective manner. Assures that hiring goals are attained by becoming familiar with each department's or project's objectives and working closely with hiring managers. Determines effective means of recruiting prospective candidates (e.g., advertising, Internet, direct contact, employee referrals, research organizations, job fairs). Prepares and posts positions on company internet, websites and other appropriate medium. Prepare and run various staffing reports for executive management team using Excel and Custom reports from Applicant Tracking System. Recruits, screens, interviews, and refers qualified applicants to hiring managers. Checks references and verifies employment as needed. Extends employment offers following all required approvals. Completes special projects on behalf of management. Works within selected applicant tracking system to maintain all required data and update candidate records and position information as needed. May be asked to perform System Admin function and learn to create and run both canned and custom reports. Maintains required records and reports on employment activity, and for AAP reporting. Maintain all position and applicant data required for maintaining data for applicant tracking system. May perform System Admin function and be asked to create and run canned and custom reports. Establishes and maintains relationships with professional organizations, institutes, trade schools, colleges and universities, job fair sponsors, and search firms. Participates in the company's staff planning activities. Individual will be asked to represent the company at hiring events which could include college events, job fairs, career invitationals and contract transitions. Assists in outplacement of current employees who are scheduled for layoff. Coordinates with managers to identify employment opportunities elsewhere within the company. Conducts training in the company's hiring policies and procedures and in employment laws and regulations for new or prospective hiring managers. May conducts new hire orientation. May conducts exit interviews. Prepares summary reports of findings. Counsels employees as needed. Effective and professional approach to working with hiring managers, peers, applicants and vendors. Experience working with Applicant Tracking Software and advanced skills in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel and Power Point. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position requires a Bachelor degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired, plus a minimum five years of full life cycle recruiting in a government contracting environment, to include technical and cleared recruiting. Incumbents must possess in-depth knowledge of employment and fair employment practices laws, regulations, statutes, and guidelines related to employment. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Long hours may be needed during peak periods.
