Ajilon is part of the Adecco Group - the largest human resource services company in the world.The Data Protection Analyst role is responsible for:.Actively supporting and participating in the corporate safety program; .Providing first-line support for the US eHub and rHub data protection infrastructure.Participating in the Data Protection On-call rotation.Providing second-line support for the Data Protection Operations Team and the Data Library.Providing global third-line support for the Remote Office Backup Solution (ROBS) .Working with senior design analysts to resolve complex, multi-discipline problems.Planning, designing, deploying, and providing customer training for the ROBS.Evaluating and providing recommendations for APPHOST generated statements of work.Developing, documenting, deploying and enforcing regional data protection standards for hardware, configuration, media handling, and processes.Planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and/or periodic maintenance..Improving existing processes and documenting process changes .Reviewing and updating documentation.Developing, testing, and documenting new processes and procedures in response to infrastructure and/or technology changes.Working with the operations team, service delivery teams, and vendors to ensure the integrity of the US data protection infrastructure.Insuring the data protection infrastructure meets all licensing, regulatory and compliance requirements.Developing exception requests when out of compliance issues cannot be corrected.Responding to customer queries and concerns regarding regulatory and compliance requirements .Supporting and utilizing the change management processes.Developing meaningful data protection metrics and reports.Training team members and customers.Participating in the ESD Subject Matter Expert program.Contributing to project teams.Participating in the ESD BCP.Maintaining awareness of new data protection technologies.Providing consulting to customers on data protection strategies, business continuity and disaster recovery.Developing, operating, and maintaining a common tool set to support data protection operations, including third party applications, scripts, and lab/test environments.Automating repetitive tasks/processes when it makes sense to do so.Forecasting capacity requirements.Performing administrative duties.Working with the London and Singapore eHubs to develop a standardized global data protection infrastructure that meets corporate needs and satisfies local government requirements.Establishing a close working relationship with the Storage team.Performing other assigned tasks You can view all of our jobs online at http://www.ajilonconsulting.com



Job Experience:In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Senior Data Protection Analyst role is responsible for:.Maintaining, updating, and exercising the ESD BCP.Training team members on changes to the ESD BCP.Developing training programs.Developing budget and manpower forecasts with ESD leadership and product management.Mentoring team members.Enforcing approved standards.Providing third-line support for the Data Protection On-call Analyst.Collaborating with Global Information Risk Management on forensics/legal requests.Transferring knowledge to junior analysts .Collaborating with the ESD Architect and Process team and the Storage team to develop an integrated Data Protection/Storage infrastructure.Fostering opportunities for cross-domain development.Performing other assigned tasks.Developing service levels Data Protection Analyst: Knowledge.In depth knowledge of disk to tape and disk to disk to tape technologies.UNIX, Linux and Windows backup .Virtual tape libraries.Physical tape libraries.Fibre channel tape drives.Fibre channel switches.LTO tape technology.Replication technologies.Network Data Management Protocol.SAN and NAS backup requirements.Encryption and key management.Database backup strategies.Scripting (Perl and ksh).Backup validation applications.Sarbanes-Oxley controls.Regulatory and compliance requirements.Data privacy.ITSM Requirements.Two to eight years experience with EMC NetWorker in a large environment with Dynamic Drive Sharing and NDMP.Two to five years experience with FalconStor VTL and IPStor applications.Two to five years experience with Bocada Enterprise.IBM LTO3 and LTO4 Tape Drives.IBM Tape Libraries.NetApp Filers.BlueArc Filers.Solaris OS.Good communications skills (verbal and written).Secure system access (putty, Exceed)Minimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: 3-5 YearsExpected Travel Time: None
