To sustain and enhance our leadership position in the pharmaceutical industry, we continue to recruit, develop and motivate individuals whose skills, values, and work ethic will grow and improve our business.Working in Clinical Affairs, you will provide medically related product support for one major marketed product or a group of smaller products. This includes advice to Marketing about product positioning and strategies to achieve differential product positioning; development of phase IV programs to support positioning; creation and maintenance of scientific advisory boards and advocacy groups; ensuring compliance with promotional codes and regulations. Other duties include:· Co-chair Global Brand Team for one or more products. The Brand Team is responsible for all commercial activities for marketed products. · Utilizing analyses of medical need, competitive products and the characteristics of our product, assist Marketing departments to develop a clear differentiated product position that will support commercial success.· Direct others and/or ensure that all disseminated product information and materials used in product promotion meet all prevailing local codes and guidances for medical accuracy and appropriateness.· Develop phase IV programs and studies that generate scientific data to support and/or enhance product positioning.· Establish and maintain external scientific advisory boards; assist Marketing departments in advocacy development. · Direct others and/or provide medical review for adverse events reported in phase IV studies; assist in the evaluation of overall product safety for assigned product(s); advise on labeling issues for assigned product(s)· Direct others and/or perform ad hoc tasks, as necessary to ensure that the medical aspects of assigned product(s) are clearly understood by Sales and Marketing employees, outside customers and the scientific community. This position requires an MD degree; subspecialty training and certification is highly desirable. Management experience in practice or HMO setting is also highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as a demonstrated ability to work in a matrix type environment. Opportunities may exist in the following therapeutic areas: women's health care, neuroscience, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular therapy, vaccines and infectious disease, hemophilia, immunology, and oncology.
