Sr. Information Specialist - AS/400

Alcon's U.S. General Office is based at its 300-acre campus located in Fort Worth, Texas. Additional Responsibilities:The candidate will function as an senior AS400 system administrator. This position's responsibilities will include planning, documenting, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of the AS400. Day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining a large production JDE environment. Candidate will be train and mentor junior AS400 system administrators and operations personel. Additional responsibilities include working on project teams and understanding and assisting with application issues. Candidate will work with small dedicated team to achieve business objectives. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, or equivalent technical field and over 8 years experience in a technical position.Preferred Qualifications:10 or more years experience in information technology field. Operations experience is preferred. In depth knowledge of general AS400 hardware and the following technologies: 890 hardware or equivalent, AS400 LPARs, OS/400 V5R2, CL, BRMS, MessangerPlus Monitoring, TwiNet. Experience with EMC Storage and EMC SRDF are a plus.
