PURPOSE: To provide Product Engineering support required for the production of single use and reusable medical devices. Manage new product development and qualification. Create documentation needed for product assembly, inspection, test and processing.EDUCATION REQUIRED: (Minimum) Bachelor's Degree in engineering or scientific field(Preferred) Master's Degree in engineering fieldEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: (Minimum) Seven years in an engineering or scientific R&D, operations or manufacturing environment with 1 year in medical device industry.(Preferred) Seven years in an engineering manufacturing environment in the medical device industry. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: In-depth knowledge of FDA GMP laws and regulations and of European Union (EU) Quality System regulations. Strong computer skills with emphasis on spreadsheet applications, project scheduling and statistical analysis. Experience in technical writing, performing qualifications and validation protocols. Effective problem solving a necessity.DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Manage the schedule and resources needed to support new product development and qualification.2. Develop documentation to qualify products for sale globally.3. Create and interpret documentation required for product assembly, inspection, test, and processing.4. Maintain production through rapid identification of problems and implementation of solutions.5. Train technical support staff in new procedures and test methods.6. Identify methods and materials to reduce cost and decrease product cycle time.7. Verify manufacturing is performed according to applicable quality system standards.8. Produce new product labeling ensuring it meets internal and external standards.9.
