Sr. Programmer Analyst - Java (Job #961)

Job Description:PLANIT Technology Group is seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst - Java to provide technical leadership and expertise in the analysis, design and implementation of complex projects to include computer and network hardware and infrastructure, operating systems, databases and enterprise wide business applications for our client. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Function as Lead Developer on projects.* Provide technical leadership* Work closely with Business Analyst to develop scalable solutions to problems* Involved in project startup through implementation to ensure all aspects of the technology plan is accounted for, understood, defined, and executed successfully.* In addition to the essential job functions described above, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* 5+ years related work experience in Java Development* JSP, Servlets, Struts, JSP, JSF, XML structures and parsers, OOD, HTML * Experience working with Ant, Junit, httpunit, subversion* Experience working with relational databases, Oracle, SQL Server* Experience developing n-tier applications* Understanding of web based technologies including browsers, HTML, XML, and CSS. * Understanding of HTML DOM (Document Object Model) and manipulating DOM with JavaScript. * Understanding of web server configuration and functionality (IIS, Tomcat, JK connectors)* Ability to build technical designs from functional designs using industry-standard notation; specifically UML* Strong working knowledge of enterprise application integration (EAI) methodologies, products, standards and best-practices* Ability to work and communicate effectively with cross functional teamsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Some travel required to visit North America companies and acquisitions as well as training required.PLANIT Technology Group, headquartered in Norfolk, VA, is a premier provider of information technology services, infrastructure and business solutions to a broad range of commercial clients within the United States.
