At Millennium, we're big on results, not formality.Position Summary:The Molecular Pathology group within the Discovery organization is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our histopathology group. This team supports all phases of drug discovery and development within Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc. and works directly with scientists as well as veterinary and human pathologistsDuties and Responsibilities:This position involves all aspects of tissue preparation for histological evaluation of samples, including: data management, tissue processing and embedding; sectioning tissues from frozen, paraffin or plastic mediums and potentially through to H&E, special staining or immunohistochemistry. The individual will also be responsible for the maintenance and operation of histology equipment. The histology team supports many project teams throughout the company, involving the Discovery, Pre-Clinical and Clinical divisions.Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications: The qualified candidate must be HT-(ASCP) or HTL-(ASCP) eligible or certified. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical histology or GLP lab. In addition, the candidate must also demonstrate flexibility, good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently.Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical histology or GLP lab.
