For more information about PolyOne visit www.polyone.com GENERAL SUMMARY: The Business Warehouse Analyst works closely with members of the IT and Business teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions to meet those needs. This position is responsible for delivering reporting solutions through all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment of solutions, production support/maintenance functions, as well as documentation and end-user training. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Partner with IT and Business team members to define and support functional and/or architectural reporting requirements -Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop data sources, data extraction, load processes, and security design; develop reports -Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop BW objects such as info objects, business content, info sources, info cubes, ODS objects, data targets, transfer rules, update rules, process chain, and schedule load -Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues -Responsible for maintenance of reporting environment, including batch job monitoring, applying patches, clean up traces, system log maintenance, reboots, upgrades, etc. -Adhere to good systems development methodology -May perform other duties as assigned or required by the business -Use each support call and project as an opportunity to train the user on how to more effectively use SAP -Resolve Production Support cases in a timely fashion; Meet and exceed the Service Level Agreement for the department -Establish strong business relationships to identify opportunities for process improvements and to emphasize adoption -Documentation of BW configuration, design and implementation elements allowing easy support and knowledge transfer Required Education/Experience: -Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field; or equivalent experience - 4+ years technical experience with SAP Business Warehouse -Experience through a project lifecycle and/or BW upgrade Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: -Deep working knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse, including: - Deep knowledge of configuration of B/W data objects including Info objects, Info sources, Transfer/Update rules, ODS, Cubes, Info Providers, multi providers. - Deep knowledge of B/W extractors from the R/3 system and working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version 4.6c environment. - Ability to develop functional and technical specifications for development activities including interfaces, enhancements and conversions. Other skills not required, but considered a plus: -Knowledge of Crystal / Business objects reports development, Crystal CE -Experience in integrating BW reports into SAP Portal -Web development (html, .asp, .Net) -Functional back ground in SAP FinanceLEADERSHIP COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: -Change Leadership Skills: leads and drives change. -Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated success in partnering across an organization. -Results Focused: Achieves results, is metric driven and models a strong sense of accountability. -Personal Attributes: Acts in a principled manner consistent with PolyOne values.
