For more information visit .General Description: The incumbent will be responsible for planning, conducting and directing Toxicology activities for R&D Project Teams under general supervision; identifying and providing solutions for problems requiring advanced knowledge of toxicology, ocular physiology and biocompatibility regulations; maintaining GLP compliance for regulated studies; initiating and monitoring biocompatibility studies at either Alcon or appropriate contract research facilities; ensuring study activities adhere to protocol guidelines and appropriate documentation is completed in compliance with GLP guidelines; Toxicology Department Administrative Responsibilities; providing appropriate allocation of technical personnel resources, equipment resources and financial resources in consideration of the department and medical specialty; completing appropriate Alcon and professional training; and communicating project status and department resource status with appropriate personnel.Minimum Qualifications:* Doctorate degree within the scientific/technical discipline with noapplicable years of experience* Master's degree within the scientific/technical discipline and usually 4-5 years of applicable experience Position Success Factors: Planning and Executing; Strategic Thinking; Communication; Teamwork; and Innovation and CreativityRELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDEDOur generous benefits package includes the Alcon 401(k) Plan which matches employee contributions up to 5% of eligible pay at the rate of $1.00 for each dollar contributed, and the Alcon Retirement Plan (ARP), a qualified plan in which Alcon contributes 7% of eligible pay to the accounts of all eligible employees.
