Staff Auditor

Job Description:The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Staff Auditor in our Worcester, MA office.Responsibilities:The Staff Auditor will be Responsible for conducting certain aspects of financial and operational audits, fraud investigations, and special projects within all functional area of the Company. The Auditor will also perform audits in conjunction with the Company’s external audit firm. Specific duties include the following: Perform audit procedures as outlined in an audit program including control and compliance testing. Develop and organize work papers. Begin to determine testing requirements. Begin to draft audit reports and other documentation. Make recommendations for improvement. Analyze audit evidence and provide management with an evaluation of the adequacy of financial and operational controls.Requirements: 0 – 2 years of experience in a business environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong analytic skills and an inquisitive personality. Ability to interact and coordinate with all levels of management. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Acquire and utilize auditing methods and concepts. Effectively communicate observations and conclusions.
