Supervisor, Driver/Dispatch 2nd shift

Job Summary:
To dispatch loads and communicate to the drivers any special instructions for each dispatch. Inform Transportation Management of any issues expressed or created by drivers. Ensure all loads dispatch on time and that the appropriate paperwork is complete and accompanies the driver for each load.

Job Responsibilities:Review the routing and scheduling plan for his shift to ensure he has all runs covered. Develop a plan to cover any uncovered runs.They are to review the paperwork that the clerk has put together for their dispatches to ensure that it is correct and complete.Responsible for updating the electronic dispatch matrix as loads are dispatched.Responsible for the dispatch office and ensures that the phones are answered timely in a professional manner.'Notify customer stores or facilities if there is a delay concerning on-time dock-outs or late deliveries.Follow procedures for calling in drivers for uncovered loads.Provide annual evaluations of each driver assigned.Debrief drivers upon return from delivery. Communicate any issues to the Transportation Management group.Notify warehouse receiving when drivers arrive with backhauls.Record and track transfers in and out of the facility.Respond to facility needs related to trailer moves.Communicate payroll issues on drivers related to sick, vacation or other payroll issues.

Job Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.3 to 6 months relevant experience.Basic DOT regulations knowledge.Computer skills.
