Job Description:Systems AnalystsAjilon Consulting client in Philadelphia, PA US citizen, or green card candidatedevelop systems requirements, do application analysis and design, perform some project management and cost estimation. Systems to write business requirements take requirements to design. Preferably someone who has come from a development background in .Net with web services is a major plus. DUTIES >> Role Summary Acts as the principal designer for major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.). Works closely with client and IT management and staff to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution. May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code. use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions. Job Experience:EDUCATION >> Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least eight, typically ten or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of six years experience application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience. Experience with developing system specifications and/or system functional requirements.- Experience with relational databases.UML, Rational tools, jad sessions SKILLS >> Responsibilities - Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Not only possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, but also considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. - Understands the Technical architecture of the Systems assigned and helps make decisions about the feasibility of various options - Develops, analyzes, specifies, validates, and documents Statements of Work, Tier 1 & Tier 2 Estimates, and system design documents.- May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions.Kay M.
