TELECOMMUNICATORS The City of Isle of Palms is accepting applications for the positions of Telecommunicator. This position involves answering phones including 911; radio communications with Police and Fire Departments; access to confidential records by utilizing the National Crime Information Center terminal and other administrative tasks in support of department operations. Work is performed on rotating shifts including weekends. Min. Training & Exp.: High school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must present a certified typing score of at least 30 wpm with application. Typing tests may be taken at Job Service, 176 Lockwood Blvd., Charleston. Salary range $24,033-$32,201 DOQ. Applicants will be subject to a polygraph examination and thorough background investigation to include criminal history. Upon tentative offer of employment, the successful applicant must undergo a test for drugs. Application must be on Isle of Palms employment application forms; resumes may accompany the returned form.
