A great opportunity with MasterBrand Cabinets could exist for you as the Finish Supervisor at our Grants Pass, OR facility.Position Summary: Finishing Team Leader is responsible for providing management and guidance to finishing department. Responsible for planning, monitoring and scheduling of staff and work operations in the department in a safe and efficient manner. Also responsible for employment decisions, reviews and overall development of department associates. Accountabilities:Duties include providing leadership and continuous improvement to the finishing team in the areas of quality, cost/productivity, delivery and safety. Provides necessary resources and training, coaches/mentors associates on behavior relevant to MBCI values, policies, procedures and performance standards. Works with other team leaders and departments to make facility process changes, and assures that OSHA and other safety and environmental regulations are met. Responsible for serving on the Finish Council (MBCI Semi-Custom Plants) and communicating with other sites regarding finishing issues. Responsible for insuring that, proper procedures are being followed by all Finishing Associates in regards to Hazardous Waste disposal. Always strives to reduce Hazardous Waste volume. Performs other duties as assigned by Business Unit Manager or General Manager.Click here to apply via the Master Brand Cabinets Career Opportunity PortalJob Experience:Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing and/or wood finishing environment with demonstrated team participation and leadership and related continuous improvement successes. •A sound working knowledge of MRP, JIT, Lean, and Kanban manufacturing systems, TQM problem solving techniques.•Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation and conflict resolution skills•Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills•Expert knowledge of solvent based finishes such as toners, stains, sealers and topcoats•Expert knowledge of air assisted, airless and HVLP spray gun technology•Expert knowledge of product and raw material involved in cabinet manufacturing•Must be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a differenceEducation:Associates degree, Bachelor Degree preferred.MasterBrand Cabinets offers competitive compensation and benefits,including paid holidays and vacations, 401k, tuitionreimbursement and medical/dental/vision insurance.EOE / Drug Free WorkplaceGreat People.
