The Research,Development and Engineering facility of Universal Avionics in Redmond, Washington, is looking for a Technical Editor to join their team.

The qualified candidate must possess:A minimum of three years experience as a technical editor in a technical or software development environment.Experience with all levels of editing.Bachelor's degree in English, technical communications, journalism or related field or equivalent.High level skills using Microsoft Word.Strong personal computer skills.

Preferred qualifications:Experience with product development life cycles.Experience with configuration management/version control.

This position will involve editing as a primary function, as needed to support the release of software, hardware, and safety engineering documentation.  Responsibilities will include researching information, working both independently and as a team member; communication, negotiation and problem-resolution skills as a contributing member of cross-functional teams.  Support other editors when project deadlines require it.
