Telephone Sales Inbound Representative - PT (1043)

Job Description:Basic Function: The Telephone Banking Center is looking for a Telephone Sales Representative/Retail to respond to customer telephone inquiries for information regarding retail products and services on the inbound side of the call center.  Hours of this position are flexible between M-F 8am-8pm and Sat 9am-3pm.  This position is incentive eligible.  Position is part-time. Responsibilities: - Answer incoming calls achieving assigned sales goals quarterly and annually. - Sell loan, deposit and other bank products using tools provided. - Refer customers to M&T branches for account openings, investment and insurance and mortgage opportunities. - Follow through with customers until accounts are open. - Achieve sales goals through need based questions and recommendation of products. - Identify cross selling opportunities to further enhance customer’s relationships with M&T. - Provide applicants with decisions on credit applications. - Achieve and maintain satisfactory quality monitoring and efficiency goals. - Provide back up support for service, general sales and retention as needed. Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED - A minimum of six months previous sales experience demonstrating a strong sales ability - A minimum of six months previous customer service experience - Basic keyboarding skills and data entry skills - Demonstrated organizational, time management and prioritization skills - Proficient communication skills in written and verbal communications Ideal Qualifications: - Associates Degree in Business - Two years previous sales or customer service experience - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, CSW and PACE/ACAPS - Previous call center experience - Past experience working with the GroupWise email systemWith over 140 years of experience, M&T Bank is considered one of the most highly regarded regional banks in the country.
