The position will be temporary until 11/26/08. Candidate will train and work with current employee and then work on own in August - November. Primary responsbilities will include negotiate prices and purchase materials, equipment and supplies from vendors. Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable supplier. Process purchase orders and perform special projects as assigned. Assist with quality alert resolution. Generate daily reports and process re-orders if required. Conduct various administrative responsibilities as assigned.Job Experience:Experience as a buyer, preferably in the food or supplement industry. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the purchasing function. Ability to prioritize and pay attention to detail.
