Test Repair Technician

Job Description:M-Audio is a leading provider of creative tools for computer-centric musicians and audio professionals, headquartered in Irwindale, CA we are part of the Audio Division within Avid Technology.Position Summary: Responsible for the testing of incoming product using various diagnostic procedures prior to release to finished goods. Processing of dealer returns, testing/trouble shooting and possible repairing of M-Audio equipment. Handle Return to Vendor, B-Stock creating and breakdown of products as required based on various processes. Keep accurate records of daily activities. All products will be tested for full functionality, should failure accrete appropriate steps will be taken to address each unit. Ensure that all tested units being returned to stock for shipment to Customers is the highest quality possible. Requirements: Must be able to read, write and speak English Must be able to follow instructions Must be able to Solder Must be familiar with using digital multimeter Able to read schematics is a plus Computer knowledge a must PC and MAC, SAP or similar MRP system is a plus Knowledge of Recording software is a plus Audio/Recording equipment/electronics is a plus Knowledge of Recording equipment electronic trouble shooting, Audio electronics a plus Mechanical skills Knowledge of the following is a plus Pro and Consumer Recording equipment ie: Midi Controllers Key boards Reference Monitors Midi Interfaces Sound cards Audio Interfaces We offer a competitive compensation package which includes:health benefits, 401(k) with company match, and employer provided Life Insurance, LTD, Tuition Reimbursement, and a generous PTO policy.
