Usability Assistant Job Description:IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for EXPERIENCED SOFTWARE/HARDWARE USABILITY ENGINEERS!!! Responsibilities & Qualifications:- Conduct user and market research to understand the needs and desires of your target audience using a diversity of techniques (field visits/observation, interviews, usability testing, cognitive walkthrough, and contextual inquiry). - Utilize your strong user-centered design vocabulary and client facing skills; must be knowledgeable and skilled in a variety of usability assessment methodologies - specific skills in heuristics, HCI, eye tracking, and creation of personas, scenarios, wireframes, etc may be required - Conducts usability studies, analyzes data, writes reports, presents and justifies recommendations to Usability Manager, developers and Program Mangers - Acts as user advocate for product enhancements based on HCI analysis - Develop scenarios and storyboards to communicate concepts to team members. Design, build, and test interactive prototypes - Works with other Usability teams to ensure compatibility with interrelated products - Contribute to an evolving design culture and process at the company. You will be expected to have strong creative, conceptual, and problem-solving skills that will allow you to tackle difficult interaction design challenges. Have a passion for new technology. - Masters degree in Psychology, Human Factors or related field required or Bachelors degree in Psychology, Human Factors or related field with equivalent work experience in Behavioral Science -Strong leadership abilities; excellent problem solving abilities Plusses: Experience in project management: Strong information architecture and user interface design abilities: Knowledge of Web and software development technologies, tools, and production techniques: Knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Expertise in the analysis display of quantitative information is highly desirable.
