VB.NET/ ABAP Developer

The Davey Tree Expert Company has a full-time position available for an experienced developer within its Kent, OH corporate headquarters campus.

Davey has been using SAP R/3 for 9 years and currently operates version 4.7 of the system using the following modules: SD, SM, FI, CO, MM, PM, PS, HR and Payroll. An upgrade to ERP 2005 is in progress with subsequent introduction of BW and SAP Portal.

This position within our small developer group will give the successful applicant opportunities to work across all areas of SAP and work closely with the Business Analysts and the end-user community. The development group primarily works with SAP's ABAP language but a significant portion of our development is performed with Visual Studio, VB.NET and VB 6.0, developing applications with a real-time interface to our SAP system. Our latest development projects are focused on the Windows Mobile platform and SQL Server, interfacing to SAP.

Requirements:Good written and verbal communication skillsA willingness and ability to learn Davey's business processesAt least 4 years experience with VB.NETExperience with SAP and the ABAP language are strongly preferredKnowledge of Java would be an advantage
