Candidate responsibilities include application of full life-cycle business development methodologies and tools, including opportunity identification, qualification, positioning, bidding, competitive analysis, and related activities. Candidate must understand the missions of DoD (Army/Air Force) customer needs, preferences, policies, and operational concepts). Candidate must be able to relate ACS Federal corporate capabilities and services to these components. Candidate must be able to advise the account at a strategic level on tactical-level execution of opportunity-specific capture. Candidate will be accountable for new business results, developing and maintaining client/potential client and industry partner relationships, and identifying and pursuing multiple marketing opportunities. This is a senior level position and the incumbent is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of departmental functions, programs and policies for ACS business units. The incumbent must demonstrate sound business judgment, innovation in approaching business challenges and the ability to translate a strategic plan into operating results. Specific skill requirements and years experience include: Customer call plan development and execution: 5 - 8 years New business identification, qualification and capture: 5 - 8 years Sales funnel management: 5 - 8 years Bid review presentations: 5 - 8 years Teaming agreement negotiations: 5 - 8 years Knowledge ofDoD (Army/Air Force)industry/services: 5-12 years Education and Typical Years of Experience: BS/BA degree or equivalent Graduate study in area of expertise is helpful, but not required. 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience. Demonstrated strengths in organizational skills required in selecting, managing and developing assigned staff. Ability to demonstrate leadership and corporate vision in relations with international business units. Ability to speak languages other than English fluently is strongly preferred. Considerable interface by phone and/or in-person with internal users and external vendors necessitates tact and diplomacy; above average written and verbal communication skills to secure/facilitate appropriate action and effectively utilize resources.
