Vice President, Human Resources
Schematic, a WPP Digital Company, and named Adage’s 2nd Hottest Digital Agency, seeks a forward-thinking Vice President of Human Resources. This position will contribute to the continued growth and success of our global interactive agency by strategically developing and leading the Company's Human Resources function and serving as a member of the our management team.
The Vice President of Human Resources will oversee Human Resources nationally and supervise a team of HR professionals across Schematic’s offices. (incl. New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Austin, Minneapolis and Costa Rica) This position reports directly to the CFO and will lead the following human resource functions including, but not limited to:
Employee Relations:Annually review and make recommendations to Senior Management for improvement of company’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure the company’s compliance.Effectively communicate performance evaluation process, responsible for continued evolution of our performance evaluation program.
Recruiting & Retention:Drive company-wide recruiting and retention initiativesWork with the division managers and HR/Recruitment team to plan and direct recruiting activities including creatively sourcing candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, background and reference review, offer packages and new hire orientation.
Compensation & Benefits: Responsible for the design and implementation of compensation programs, including incentive pay and salary guidelines.Audit periodically and revise salaries to ensure consistency with market data.Direct the implementation, administration and maintenance of company’s group benefit programs for all offices.Oversee the annual negotiations for renewal of group benefits. Conduct ongoing analysis of various benefit program costs, design and effectiveness.
Compliance:Responsible for the review and implementation of policies and procedures to assist the company with compliance of all state, federal and international employment requirements.Annual review and communication of employee handbooks in accordance with the laws of each satellite office.Develop and implement training programs to help foster employee culture, and create awareness in policies, procedures, and safety among working at the property
Requirements:
· Human Resources Professional with minimum 8+ years in progressive HR management/leadership roles
· Demonstrable leadership experience, particularly around ability to coach and develop staff
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment
· Highly organized, self-motivated, plus strong communication skills
