Crane America Services, Inc a rapidly growing Industrial Crane & Hoist Service Company has an immediate opening for an experienced Certified Welder at our near Louisville, KY who is technically sound.

Responsibilities:

 

Incumbent will perform welding and fabrication tasks involving the manufacture, installation, upgrade and/or repair of overhead crane and hoist equipment.  Capable of aligning, layout, fabricating and fitting parts to drawings, with or without templates, jigs, fixtures or forming tools.  Work will be conducted primarily at the division facilities or onsite at the clients’ business or manufacturing facilities.

 

Skills:

 

· Set up work for fixture and non-fixtured jobs

· Able to build jigs, fixtures and forming tools

· Expertise with oxyacetylene, arc and inert gas welding equipment

· Skilled in heating, cutting and straightening of metal parts and weldments

· Read and interpret all standard drawings including weld symbols

· Able to use measuring tools and work with close tolerances

· Experience with overhead cranes and hoists and/or heavy mechanical equipment is a plus

Requirements:

· Ability to work with little supervision

· 3+ years welding experience and certified AWS welder

· Heavy, physical environment

· Follow strict safety and technical protocols

· Good driving record
