Plan, direct, and coordinate warehouse activities. Train employees on Standard Operating Procedures, lift operation, warehouse technologies and equipment.EDUCATION:Required: High School DiplomaPreferred: Associate DegreeEXPERIENCE: Required: 6 years in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment with lead experience (if internal to Alcon, 2 years as a group lead). A through understanding of warehouse operations. Effective communication skills are necessary for interaction with employees and vendors. Demonstrated ability and leadership as a team player. Strong computer knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, i.e., Word, Excel and Outlook.Preferred: 2-4 years direct warehouse and leadership experience. Knowledge of Warehouse Management System, Inventory Management and Production Planning System.ALTERNATIVE COMBINATIONS:Bachelors Degree with leadership experience, strong computer skills with manufacturing and/or warehouse experience. DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1) Assign daily warehouse tasks.2) Manage spare parts and equipment repair issues.3) Provide continuous analysis of current/future utilization of warehouse space.4) Investigate system failures for corrective measures.5) Monitor activities for compliance, quality and safety.6) Evaluate temporaries and provide feedback to supervisor.7) Use skills to ensure the maximization of warehouse picking efficiencies in support of production goals.8) Coordinate activities to promote the smooth flow of materials into manufacturing.9) Direct employees to eliminate avoidable accidents, correct unsafe conditions and improve overall safety performance.10) Train and motivate front line employees through effective communication as well as hands on leadership.11) Perform general administrative duties as required (information reporting, monthly reporting, key warehouse performance indicators, etc.)12) Maintain housekeeping, safety and cGMP security standards.Our generous benefits package includes the Alcon 401(k) Plan which matches employee contributions up to 5% of eligible pay at the rate of $1.00 for each dollar contributed, and the Alcon Retirement Plan (ARP), a qualified plan in which Alcon contributes 7% of eligible pay to the accounts of all eligible employees.
