Summer Internship Opportunity

 

We’re looking for a talented, self-motivated Web design Intern who wants to be part of a winning team within a dynamic company.  Fiskars has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Web Media Intern in our Creative department at our Fiskars Garden & Outdoor Living (GOL) division in Sauk City, WI.  This is a flexible, hourly paid internship that begins in late May and ends August/September. This is a part-time role (20-24 hours per week).  Exact dates to be determined upon candidate selection. Use your experiences and knowledge to take on the challenge of executing online marketing materials, interactive pieces, maintaining and updating sites, blogs, and social network site development while participating in the collaborative creative process.

 

Responsibilities/Projects/Tasks:Primary responsibility is to assist in development of new site areas, site maintenance, and web media content.Assist in the creation and update of main sites (imagery and media).Assist in photo and video production on location and prepare for web executions.Assist in developing apps to extend site functionality.

 

Qualifications:

·  Must have working knowledge of how to prepare files for web.

·  Understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Flash.

·  Understanding of content management systems.

·  Software and Systems proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver) and general working knowledge of MS Office.

·  Must be a team player - ability to take direction and content as specified by Creative Director and Sr. Digital Media Developer.

·  Must be able to communicate well with various personalities.
