The candidate will be willing to put in the time both in terms of working and learning. Running a 24/7 shop will require non-traditional hours. Personal and professional learning will be a critical part of this position. BSN or Masters in Nursing preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience with the internet and web applications. Expertise in wound care, quality improvement, MDS, falls, hydration, infection control, care planning, etc. a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. The candidate is expected to have a current nursing certification for the state in which they operate. This includes an RN license. Responsibilities Responsibilities include providing oversight and approval of all nursing assignments, care and coordination, implementation and review of clinical care for residents on unit. External admission assessments as needed. The successful candidate will be dedicated to customer service and committed to quality improvement. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and exhibit competencies of a Director of Nursing.
