Windows Domain System Administrator

Job Description:For this position, you will join a team that is responsible for the administration, installation, configuration, and system security of departmental domains for this city municipality.Your responsibilities will include: Developing and utilizing strong systems administration techniques and procedures Monitoring system security Administering LAN security policies Designing, testing, implementing, and documenting server and server-based application software installations and upgrades Completing technical propels related to hardware, software, and storage array installations and upgrades Delivering timely status reports to management Serving as an Enterprise Administrator in an Active Directory environment Maintaining an understanding of technology Developing new technologies, techniques, and procedures to support end-user requirementsJob Experience: 5+ years related work experience Experience with data center maintenance (racking, cabling, and labeling physical equipment) Experience with network connectivity end-to-end troubleshooting Experience with Dell, EMC, and Cisco product lines In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, WINS, DHCP, DNS, and Domain object management Ability to pass a background check Valid driver's license Willingness to assist with 24/7 support Excellent communication and collaboration skills Bachelors degree in a related field MCSE-W2k/2k3 certification is a plus Experience in Linux or BSD is a plus Experience with systems administration scripting is a plus Experience with network and host-based IDS and IPS solutions is a plus Experience with Cisco IOS installation and configuration, basic router operations, and switch management enterprise firewalls is a plus Experience with Microsoft Project and Project Management is a plus Solid understanding of IP addressing and sub-netting with Cisco network devices is a plus Understanding of networking protocol suites and access lists is a plusMinimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: More than 5 years For more information about career opportunities with CompuCom Excell Data visit www.excell.com.
