The Developer is responsible for formulating application solutions to customer needs / problems. This includes the full system life cycle for application solutions from development & delivery via project(s) to ongoing execution & maintenance. Responsible for the analysis, design, development, installation, modification and support of software applications. Conducts programming tasks including program design, program specifications, program coding, debugging and documentation. Conducts proper testing before promoting to production to ensure a quality product. Works with appropriate levels of management to provide necessary research for business case and cost justification. Interacts well with both internal and external customers. Is adaptable to an erratic schedule. Provides production system support outside of normal work schedules assigned. Works with vendors and business partners to support purchased software solutions and interfaces. Job Experience:. Bachelor or technical degree and five years applications development experience required. Must have prior experience writing applications at the highest technical level.. Excellent analytical and communication skills required. Must be self-disciplined, flexible and adaptable. Must have the ability to provide technical assistance to others.. Prefer 10 years of software development experience; experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to internal and external staff; experience with Project Management; and the preferred technical experience: iSeries COBOL, JAVA, XML, Unix, SQL, DB2, Oracle, and MS Office products.Due to client restrictions, must be eligible for the position without sponsorship.
