Job Description:My client has 2 opening in their Quality Control Department. SUMMARY Position responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of patient sample orders and test requisitions enabling the clinical laboratory to process results and Billing to expedite charges. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned. Performs QC function by checking data entered by processing against data from test requisition and attached forms; correcting errors as needed Supports other representatives sales regions as necessary to cover deficiencies and ensure problem resolution within turnaround time guidelines Enters data of sending accounts, doctors, patients, tests and payers from test requisition information into Pros Responsible for communicating with physicians office staff, hospital, lab staff, billing departments, insurance companies and patients by phone and fax to obtain information for testable, reportable and billable deficiencies caused by incomplete test requisitions Interacts with Information Systems for system problems resolution and changes to improve the flow of data entry Responsible for order entry; enters detailed information from test requisition including ordering physician, sending account, patient demographics, ICD9 Code (diagnosis) and payer information Responsible for test verification; verifies that specimen type and collection date meets the requirements of the test ordered Responsible for accepting or canceling test and sets order in progress enabling lab to report result Responsible for self auditing; reviews Order Verification form on completed orders to ensure accuracy of data entered May coordinate the work flow to insure appropriate coverage with other Order Processor Representatives according to daily variants May train new employees on department processes and procedures Special departmental projects as assigned Minimum goal of 1400 processed orders per month.
