Accounting Manager - International

ACCOUNTING MANAGER – INTERNATIONAL

 

Summary:

As an Accounting Manager at Regis Corporation, you will be a key member of our financial accounting team, with a primary goal of leading the financial closing process and ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP for the International operating segments.

 

Responsibilities:Manage the monthly closing process (on a 13 fiscal period close) for the U.K International operating segments, including preparation and/or approval of journal entriesPreparation and review of monthly International profit and loss statements at the division and salon level, working closely with operations to explain results vs. budget and prior yearOwnership of financial accounting process for U.K business segment with visibility to senior management on a regular basis and opportunity to be involved in non-accounting based financial or operational projectsCoordinate and ensure compliance with multiple legal entity audits and other regulatory compliance reports, working directly with multiple auditors to meet filing deadlinesManage and review the Stat-to-GAAP reconciliation process for multiple U.K. legal entitiesParticipate in Sarbanes Oxley projects, including the execution and documentation of financial accounting controls for testing purposesParticipate in other non-U.K. based financial accounting functions as necessaryReview and approve monthly account reconciliationsReview and approve monthly journal entries Participate in quarterly and year-end Regis audits, including preparation and approval of necessary audit schedules and International fluctuation analysisInteract with department heads on accounting company initiativesAssist in budgeting and forecasting Supervise, mentor and motivate staff



Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· CPA certification

· Public accounting experience of 3+ years

· Supervisory experience of 5+ years

· Multi-company International accounting with exposure to statutory-to-GAAP reconciliations, preferred

· Strong audit skills with ability to manage multiple statutory financial audits and multiple closing deadlines

· Professional verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

· Experience in managing change in a dynamic business environment

· Strong leadership qualities, mature and motivated, with willingness and passion to own the U.K. financial accounting process

· Travel -  minimal, with possibility of 1-2 trips to U.K. annually

· Computer knowledge in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Visio

· Exposure to a top level financial accounting package or JD Edwards knowledge a plus
