CHEMIST

 

 

Our Multi-Clean Division is expanding and in need of a Chemist for this dynamic position:

 

Product Development

1)  New Product Development:  Develop new products and technologies for products that are new and unique to the Industrial & Institutional marketplace.  Product categories include: Cleaners, Degreasers, Floor Finishes and Coatings, Floor Strippers, Personal Care, Concrete Care, Wood Floor Care, and Carpet Care.

 

2)  Product Improvement of Existing Products.  Update existing products to improve performance, stability, color and/or fragrance etc.

 

3)  Private Label Products.  Develop products that meet our customers specific requirements.

 

Active participation is required in all phases of development, including new product ideas, feasibility, project planning, formulation development & testing, evaluation of competitive products, production scale-up and development of MSDS’s & Technical Data Sheets.

 

Technical Service

Answer phone calls and e-mails from customers and salesman who have technical questions concerning any aspect of our product line including: product application techniques, competitive product cross-references, product complaints or problem solving.

 

Chemical Schools & Seminars

Multi-Clean sponsors 2 chemical schools per year in which our Distributors send their salesman to our school to learn about Multi-Clean Product lines.  Chemists are primary instructors in this 2 ½ day seminar.  Developing presentations, lecturing and product demonstrations are all part of this school’s requirements.

 

Occasionally, deliver seminars or training to customer on our product line or topics important to our industry, such as:  Green Cleaning, MRSA etc.

 

Regulatory & Safety

Will assist in preparing data and reports for required local, state, federal regulatory reports as well as EPA and state disinfectant registrations.

 

 

Requirements

·   Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·   2 or 4 year degree in chemistry, biology or related science.

· Product formulation experience with surfactant and/or floor polymer chemistry.

·   Computer skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint

·   Ability to manage multiple projects

·   Ability to problem solve

·   Ability to adjust work priorities depending on company needs.

·   Travel: Minimal (Occasional day trips or overnight may be required)
