Household Assistant / Cook

We are increasing our household staff and seeking a great long term team member for our active household.

 

Position 1:

General Household Assistant

 

Live out, Tuesday - Saturday, 1pm- 9pm  (plus or minus 9pm-until the 3 kids are sleeping) Occasional paid overtime when we are going out at night.  We will give advance notice as soon as possible. 

 

Occasional Saturday nights will be required when we have a function to attend in the evening. When this occurs, he/she is welcome to sleepover in the guest loft space.

 

Daytime responsibilities:

 

Household assistant

Internet research and word processing

Project work

Errands  (must have car and insurance)

 

Night time responsibilities:

Nanny duties

Help with homework

Bathe/shower the kids

Prep for bed, teeth etc

Put to sleep as necessary

 

Position 2:

Cook

 

Tuesday – Thursday & Saturdays, 2:30pm-7:30pm or 3:30-8:30  (20hrs/wk).

 

Menu planning

Grocery shopping

Dinner cooking

Teaching nutrition and healthy cooking  (no vegetarian meals & no potatoes in any menu)

Lunch ideas

Cooking with the kids once a week

Summer BBQ’s

 

 

Nighttime Responsibilities:

Put dinner on the table

Clean up after dinner

 

The above is just a brief description of the job duties. The full time position provides 5 days paid vacation days after 6 months of employment. At least one weeks pay bonus in December and the benefits increase after established service. Christmas off with pay but this is NOT the position to take time off during the December holidays as the household is at its peak with kids home, shopping, gift wrapping and entertaining.

 

The household is informal and laid back but there is a level and standard that must be maintained at all times. We are looking for applicants that have worked in a team environment.
