Position Description:
Account ExecutiveField SalesScholastic EducationJob Summary: The Account Executive will be responsible for all activities related to the respective territory in achieving revenue and expense target/goals.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Sales Responsibilities:Achieve 100% of territory revenue and expense goalsAbility to sell technology and print productsAbility to sell servicesComplete the Scholastic Education Training PathUtilize appropriate territory demographic data and sales historical data to successfully prepare a targeted territory action planMust maintain an accurate sales opportunity pipeline and update pipeline weeklyAbility to create and customize cost proposalsCreate new partnerships and expand existing ones with professional organizations, local and state agenciesEffectively utilize regional and corporate resources to achieve successful attainment of the territory revenue and expense goalsMaster product sales presentations and possess the ability to respond to customer gaps by providing Scholastic solutionsRespond in a timely manner to all customer requests, thus securing a high degree of customer satisfactionArticulate the key marketing position statements for each product representedMonitor, review and direct all activities of the Scholastic Sales Representative (SSR)Coordinate activities of the SSR to ensure their activities are commensurate with territory goalsAbility to mange sample expense budgets in a responsible and effective mannerMeet the demands of an evolving territory and be able to respond professionally as a representative of ScholasticCorporate Responsibilities:Participate in ad-hoc focus groups to provide product development/marketing inputPresent at regional and national sales meetingsParticipate and assist at national sales events such as Summits and Intervention ConventionsAssist in training or mentoring new employeesCommunicate with regional and national team members in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Requirements:Must have prior educational publishing/technology sales experience4 Year College Degree required-teaching or educational experience a plusGraduate degree/professional certification a plusPossess excellent communication skillsFocused, discipline and has the sales skills to help “close” businessKnowledge of Macintosh or PC platformWorking knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, WordExperience with Sales Territory Management Software package a plus Travel requiredNOTE: Please include salary requirements in your cover letter.Scholastic Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.M/F/D/V
